After working for nearly ten years in the kitchen and serving at a hotel in Thailand, Haymar certainly has experience preparing quality cuisine. She came to Salt Lake City as a refugee from Thailand in 2008, though is originally from the Mon State of Burma.
Her passion lies in cooking and sharing true Burmese food with Salt Lake City.
She aspires to create a restaurant and market space where the local Burmese community will taste its favorite flavors from home and the Salt Lake community will discover genuine Burmese dishes they love.
Haymar has received 10 hours of direct technical assistance and is currently developing a business plan.
