Welcoming Week - Salt Lake City
Spice Kitchen is excited to collaborate with the Utah Film Center to screen Soufra, an inspiring story of social entrepreneur Mariam Shaar as she works alongside refugee women to launch a catering and food truck business in the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp in Lebanon.
A panel discussion will follow, which includes The International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City's Executive Director Natalie El-Deiry. There will also be Soufra cookbooks available for sale.

Join us at Journey to the Wasatch, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Salt Lake City's annual fundraising party celebrating the journey hundreds of brave refugees undergo every year to make their home in Utah. Alongside fellow humanitarians, enjoy a spirited symbolic live auction, activities to #StandWithRefugees, and a variety of small bites catered by entrepreneurs from Spice Kitchen Incubator.
5% Day at Whole Foods Market
Spice Kitchen Incubator presents a Food Entrepreneur Round Table, Feb 17, 2018 at the Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 West 3100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Join Spice Kitchen community experts as they share their knowledge on best practices for small food businesses. Attendance is $10.
The Round Table will focus on operating and scaling up food businesses. Lunch will include a panel discussion on lessons learned through owning a food business. The session will end with an opportunity to ask questions and interact with food industry experts.
Cooking Class with Hayat's Grill
Whole Foods Market is partnering with Spice Kitchen Incubator on their community giving day (otherwise known as "5% Day") where five percent of that day's net sales are donated to a local nonprofit or educational organization.
Spice Kitchen Incubator is excited to be partnering with Whole Foods Market on our first cooking class, and it is FREE!
Located at the Whole Foods Market Cafe at Trolley Square, Hayat's Grill will be instructing participants on making a traditional Afghani finger food and dipping sauce: boulani with cilantro chutney!
