The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future. At work in over 40 countries around the globe and in 28 U.S. cities, the IRC restores dignity and safety to vulnerable populations fleeing violence and persecution. In 1994, the IRC opened its doors in Salt Lake City since resettling over 12,000 refugees and providing vital services to thousands of other asylees, immigrants and new Americans.
