Salt Lake City celebrates 25 years at Journey to the Wasatch
(May 2019) - The International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City held its annual Journey to the Wasatch event in April, gathering over 150 local humanitarians for continued advocacy in support of refugees. This year's event was extra special as the IRC in Salt Lake City was celebrating 25 years of resettlement services!
The evening included a 90's theme photo booth, postcard-writing stations, and silent and symbolic auctions. Guests also had the opportunity to explore the past 25 years at the IRC SLC through photos, videos, and chatting with current and former staff members.
Spice Kitchen Incubator businesses Sikkim Momo, KuyaDel, and Delicius provided small bites and desserts from around the world, receiving numerous compliments on their beautifully presented appetizers. One of the biggest hits was KuyaDel's ube, a purple yam ice cream with origins in the Philippines.
