Over the course of late December, Spice Kitchen Incubator ran a 5-session workshop series entitled “How to Sell Your Own Food Box," covering topics such as permitting, social media marketing, and food photography.

The spread of COVID-19 forced entrepreneurs to pivot to online sale platforms and food delivery services, and this workshop series was meant to address the need for new skill and products to match changing customer expectations.

After incorporating initial feedback and supplemental digital literacy resources, the series will run again in February for another cohort of entrepreneurs.

We are grateful for the collaboration with other IRC Salt Lake City staff, particularly from Microenterprise Development AmeriCorps VISTA Claire Kirkland and Financial Capability Coordinator Brenda Montecinos Villa.
