Prime Corn brings Pre-Hispanic food to Salt Lake City! Inspired by seeing food trucks at farmer’s markets, Chef Wendy brings a new style of vegetarian cuisine that originates directly from Mexico. Bringing together delicious, balanced, affordable, and nutritious meals. Fresh ingredients are a priority.

Growing up in Mexico City, Chef Wendy started out cooking gourmet meals, but found more joy in cooking family recipes. After her daughter pushed her to cook more vegetarian meals, she started focusing more on Pre-Hispanic cuisine. These dishes traditionally have less meat content because large animals like cows or sheep aren’t native to the Americas, so Chef Wendy was easily able to return to her cultural roots by cooking.

You may order the Combo Meal which includes all options below OR order À la Carte picking only the items you want.

*Dinner Combos include a choice of one entrée and one appetizer, plus a side, beverage & dessert. (Serves 1 individual)

You can also order items individually. Plus, you can order the combo meal and add individual items in addition to your combo meal. “Mix-and-match as you please.”

Spice To Go Dinner “Options”

Entrées:

1. Tamales:

Two vegetarian tamales of your choice (bean and cheese, or jalapeno and cheese) smothered with a mild enchilada sauce and melted Chihuahua cheese, garnished with fresh onion, cilantro, sour cream, and queso fresco. Served with Spanish rice and refried beans. contains dairy

OR

2. Enchiladas Verdes:

Two corn tortillas filled with Chihuahua cheese, smothered with less than medium spicy tomatillo sauce and garnished with fresh onion, cilantro, sour cream, and queso fresco. Served with Spanish rice and refried beans. contains dairy

Appetizer:

Tortitas de Papa (4)

Delicious potato patties that are crispy outside and creamy and fluffy inside. Sprinkled with curd and served with a light tomato sauce on the side. contains dairy

Soup:

Sopa Tolteca Cup

Tender cactus leaves chopped and cooked with corn kernels and Poblano pepper strips in a rich vegan tomato broth. Topped with crispy tortilla chips. Served with lime on the side.

Dessert:

Camote en Dulce

Sweet potato cooked with guava and tejocote fruit in a cinnamon and brown sugar syrup.

Drink:

Guava, strawberry, or guanabana canned juice

Order for this upcoming week's Spice-to-Go menu featuring Chef Najati of Namash Swahili Cuisine! This will be your last time of the year to enjoy their food before they return home for a few months! In the meantime, find them around Salt Lake Valley in their food truck.

Please Note: Orders close Wednesday November 17th at 12pm! Orders can be picked up, hot and ready-to-eat from Spice Kitchen (751 W 800 S Salt Lake City, UT 84104) Thursday November 18th from 4:00-6:30pm.

When you arrive for pickup please text us (385-202-5207) with the first and last name on the order, if you would like disposable utensils, and a description of your vehicle when you arrive. We ask that you remain in your vehicles and a staff member or volunteer will run your orders out shortly.
