Chef Najati of Namash Swahili Cuisine
Najati spent time as a child learning to cook from her mother, who ran her own business selling food on the streets of Kenya. Her African cuisine is fresh and offers a taste of her home country of Somalia fused with other flavors in Eastern Africa.
Meat Entree (GF): Swahili Beef Curry – Grilled sirloin seasoned and cut into pieces, simmered with peas and carrots in a curry made with East African herbs, spices, and yogurt. Served over lightly seasoned and fluffy couscous.
Vegan Entree (GF): Swahili Vegetable Curry – Eggplant, potatoes, zucchini and green beans roasted in the oven and simmered in a curry made with coconut milk, East African herbs and spices. Served over lightly seasoned and fluffy couscous.
Each entree comes with a side of: Romaine salad with raisins, green bell peppers, cucumbers and radishes with a homemade Pili Pili salad dressing.
Orders must be submitted by Tuesday at 12pm! You will receive an email confirmation upon completion.
Pick up and pay at Spice (2180 South & 300 West, Suite 102) between 4-6:30pm each Thursday. Chefs accept cash, check, and card payments.
