Chef Hayat's Afghani Cuisine
Hayat moved to Utah in June of 2011 from Afghanistan. An absence of Afghani restaurants in Salt Lake City drove him to pursue his own food business. When asked why he started Hayat’s Grill, he responded “to share my culture with others in hopes of erasing hatred that has taken place in so many hearts and bridging gaps over a cup of tea.”
Menu:
Meat Entree (GF): Grilled Tilapia Marinated with Spices and Herbs, served with Stewed Potatoes and served with a Green Cilantro Chutney.
Vegetarian Entree (GF): Banjan Borani - Eggplant cooked with Tomatoes and a traditional Afghan Spice Blend, served with plain yogurt sauce.
Each entree is served with Qabili Palaw (rice) with Shredded Carrots and Raisins.
Orders must be submitted by Tuesday at 12pm! You will receive an email confirmation upon completion.

Pick up and pay at Square Kitchen (751 West 800 South) between 4-6:30pm each Thursday. Chefs accept cash, check, and card payments.

4+ Orders $9 each +tax
If possible, bring your own bag for pick up!
