Chef Emma's Venezuelan Cuisine
Emma and her husband Enrique moved to Utah in 2003 from Tachira, Venezuela. Emma started her culinary business because she “wanted to set an example for her family that it is never too late to go after your dreams.” She feels that Spice gave her the opportunity to dream big.
La Pizca Andina is named after a traditional Venezuelan egg soup made in Emma’s hometown, paying tribute to her roots. Emma’s dream is to open a restaurant in Salt Lake City where the community can try her handmade dishes and travel to Venezuela through La Pizca Andina’s hearty flavors. Her specialties include arepas, buñuelos, tres leches and of course pizca andina.

Entrées:
Vegetable Arepa (14oz):
Cornmeal arepa filled with from-scratch black beans tossed with sauteed onions, garlic, tomatoes, tri-colored bell peppers, basil, parsley and cilantro and queso blanco (optional). Served with avocado salsa and fried plantain. (Vegan OR Vegetarian, contains avocado, gluten free)
Reina Pepiada, Chicken Arepa (14oz):
Cornmeal arepa filled with shredded chicken tossed with an avocado mayo, olive oil, and parsley. Served with avocado salsa and fried plantain. (Contains avocado, contains dairy, gluten free)

Ensalada Alegria:
Venezuelan salad with beets, carrots, tomato, and mangoes. (Vegetarian, contains eggs)
Dessert:
Quesillo de Piña: Sweetened condensed, evaporated and whole milks, eggs, and vanilla. Served with caramel sauce and fresh pineapple. (Vegetarian, contains dairy, eggs)
Drinks:
Malta: Popular Venezuelan, lightly carbonated non-alcoholic malt beverage. (Non-Caffeinated)

Order Pickup
Place your order with La Pizca Andina by Wednesday, September 27th at noon and pick up your items on Thursday, September 29th from 4-6:30pm at Square Kitchen (751 West 800 South).
When you arrive for pickup please text us (385-202-5207) with the first and last name on the order, if you would like disposable utensils, and a description of your vehicle when you arrive. We ask that you remain in your vehicles and a staff member or volunteer will run your orders out shortly.
