(Aug. 2019) - When someone wants to start a food business, it is required that they complete and pass a technical food safety course and exam called the ServSafe Food Manager's course. This is no different for Spice entrepreneurs. Typically costing over $300, Spice Kitchen Incubator staff are able to teach the full 8-hour course and proctor the exam for only $35! Last month, Spice Kitchen Incubator's Program Manager Kate and Program Specialist Casidhe co-taught the course to four participants who are now ready to take the certification exam.

Twice a year, Spice Kitchen Incubator provides the course and training materials to all entrepreneurs in need of the certificate for business launch. The day consists of covering the necessary materials while including interactive discussions and practice quizzes to ensure the material is being understood and retained. In 2019, a total of nine participants have accessed this course.
