When someone wants to start a food business, it is required that they complete and pass a technical food safety course and exam called the ServSafe Food Manager's course. This is no different for Spice entrepreneurs.
Partnership with Community Writing Center Grows
Spice Kitchen Incubator and the SLCC Community Writing Center partnered earlier this year to practice and provide creative writing skills to entrepreneurs while developing their menus.
Partnership with Kiitos Continues to Grow
Last spring, Hayat's Grill began developing a frozen product to sell at Kiitos Brewery, a local brewery located in the Granary district of Salt Lake City. Cauliflower korma is currently available for patrons of Kiitos to purchase, and soon enough there will be baklava and samosas!
Food Entrepreneur Round Table 2019

Storytelling & Business Pitches - Spice Happenings
Earlier this week Spice Kitchen Incubator businesses Spudnik, Noor Al Sham, KuyalDel and Mother of All Catering sat down, at the offices of the International Rescue Committee here in Salt Lake City, with mentors from Creminelli Fine Meats to practice and master their storytelling and business pitches, focusing on passions, love and food culture.
