Chef Najati of Namash Swahili Cuisine
Najati spent time as a child learning to cook from her mother, who ran her own business selling food on the streets of Kenya. Her African cuisine is fresh and offers a taste of her home country of Somalia fused with other flavors in Eastern Africa.
Menu:
Meat Entree (GF): East African Chicken Curry - Tender Chicken cooked with an East African Curry Spice Rub, served with Somali-Spiced Rice and a Fresh Green Salad
Vegan Entree*: Coconut Beans - Warm Pinto Beans simmered in Coconut Milk, served with handmade Chapati Flat Bread and Chickpea Bhajia.
*Vegan entree can be made gluten free by replacing chapati flat bread with spiced rice.
Orders must be submitted by Tuesday at 12pm! You will receive an email confirmation upon completion.
Pick up and pay at Spice (751 West 800 South) between 4-6:30pm each Thursday. Chefs accept cash, check, and card payments.
