Chef Emma's Venezuelan Cuisine
Emma and her husband Enrique moved to Utah in 2003 from Tachira, Venezuela. Emma started her culinary business because she “wanted to set an example for her family that it is never too late to go after your dreams.” She feels that Spice gave her the opportunity to dream big. La Pizca Andina is named after a traditional Venezuelan egg soup made in Emma’s hometown, paying tribute to her roots. Emma’s dream is to open a restaurant in Salt Lake City where the community can try her handmade dishes and travel to Venezuela through La Pizca Andina’s hearty flavors. Her specialties include arepas, buñuelos, tres leches and of course pizca andina.

Entrées:
Pabellon Criollo (16oz):
A tangle of spiced beef with long grain basmati rice, stewed black beans, and fried sweet plantains. (Dairy free, gluten free)
Pabellon de Veduras (16oz):
A mixture of spinach, carrots, tomatoes, red and green bell pepper, zucchini, and yellow onion served with black beans, fried sweet plantains, and basmati rice. (Vegan, dairy free, gluten free)
Appetizers:
Chicken Empanadas (2pc):
Corn flour parcels filled with chicken, tomatoes, onions, cumin, oregano, parsley, and cilantro .(Gluten free, dairy free)
Tequenos (3pc):
Venezuelan cheese sticks with flour and mozzarella, served with avocado salsa. (Vegetarian, contains dairy, gluten, and avocado)
Ensalada de Remolacha (8oz):
Bright and citrusy salad of red beets, carrots, tomato, mango, cilantro, and parsley. (Vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free)
Dessert:
Quesillo, Venezuelan Flan (6oz): A Venezuelan-style flan with whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and caramelized sugar. (Vegetarian, contains dairy, gluten free)
Drinks:
Malta: A lightly carbonated malt beverage popular in Venezuela. (Caffeine-free, gluten free, dairy free).

Order Pickup
Place your order with Prime Corn by Wednesday, June 22nd at noon and pick up your items on Thursday, June 23rd from 4-6:30pm at Square Kitchen (751 West 800 South).
When you arrive for pickup please text us (385-202-5207) with the first and last name on the order, if you would like disposable utensils, and a description of your vehicle when you arrive. We ask that you remain in your vehicles and a staff member or volunteer will run your orders out shortly.
